The properties of the f.c.c. lattice with nearest neighbour central force interaction are investigated in the case of an arbitrary external pressure. The instability temperature, phonon frequencies, phonon widths, and the thermodynamical properties of the f.c.c. lattice are calculated in the high and low temperature limits.
