In a previous paper the problem of the non‐magnetic impurities in metals has been discussed and the deviations from the Matthiessen relation have been calculated. However, the effect of localized modes was not considered there. In the present paper a more general theory which includes the effect of local modes has been presented. The problem of the localization of the electrons has also been discussed.
