Interaction of holes with excitons has been investigated in tetracene crystals at room temperature. It is found that the annihilation of triplet excitons by trapped holes is characterised by a rate constant K T = (1.5 ± 0.5) × 10 −10 cm 3 s −l . For the rate constant for singlet exciton‐hole annihilation an upper limit of K s ≤ 1 × 10 −7 cm 3 s −l is estimated.
