The general method of part I of this work is developed further to get explicit approximate solutions for the information parameters Q and X(Q ) of this theory in the quasi‐optical case, the symmetrical Laue case, and the symmetrical Bragg case. Starting from a formally exact method for computation of Q and X(Q ), which is equivalent to that following from a theory using a differential equation, the basic approach of part I is introduced. The resulting equations are, in principle, equivalent to those of the Laue theory for X‐rays.
