The photoluminescence spectrum of CdTe has been studied in the 1.4 to 1.5 eV range. New lines have been observed in several samples. The sharp lines are interpreted in terms of annihilation of excitons bound to single, or pairs of, isoelectronic impurities (probably oxygen).
