By means of the micromagnetic equations the wall shape of one‐dimensional Néel walls is calculated. Starting point is the decomposition of the micromagnetic equation into two contributions, one of them describing the core of the wall, and the other the tail of the wall. The results agree very well with the published results of numerical computations. In particular the existence of a tail with logarithmic variation of the direction cosine of the magnetization as a function of the distance from the wall centre has been verified analytically.
