The components of the conductivity tensor in the presence of a magnetic field are calculated, the quantization of the electron orbits being taken into account. The interaction between the electrons and lattice imperfections is included in the one‐particle Green's function of the electron, and the response of the latter on the external perturbation is studied. A linear approximation is used for the external field. The interactions of the electrons with the impurities (infinitely localized, ionized) and phonons (acoustical, optical) is based on the Born approximation.
