We optimize carbon nanotube–gold hybrids demonstrating enhanced optical response. Here we investigate the overall enhancement of the luminescence of the hybrids and whether it can be improved by extending the synthesis protocol. To this purpose, we monitor the dependence of the enhanced photoluminescence yield of our hybrids versus the emission yield over time.
