Deflection and scattering of light is a convenient nondestructive tool to check the kinetics of ferroelectric domain structure during the switching cycle. We propose a simple model of such scattering based on the elementary domain size statistics. Despite rough approximations, the model adequately describes the principal features of the experimental dependence of scattered light intensity on the net ferroelectric polarization.
