The solid solutions Ce 1− x La x Ni 2 Ge 2 ( $0 \leq x \leq 1$ ) were studied by means of physical properties measurements carried out on polycrystalline specimens. The Kondo temperature of the system, estimated from temperature dependence of the magnetic entropy, decreases with increasing the unit cell volume, as expected. Nevertheless the system does not become magnetically ordered. Instead, the non‐magnetic Fermi‐liquid (FL) regime gets evident before other, single‐ion non‐FL features emerge in the low Ce‐content limit.
