The cover picture shows the conference logo of the 22nd Winterschool on Electronic Properties of Novel Materials (IWEPNM 2008) which took place in Kirchberg from 1 March to 8 March 2008. This issue contains selected invited oral and poster presentations on topics including synthesis, purification, separation of carbon nanostructures, their properties as well as theory and applications of these materials.
