We consider a 3 × 3 finite plane lattice with Born–von Karman boundary conditions, threaded by magnetic field perpendicular to it, such that two quanta of flux cover exactly three Bravais cells. The corresponding magnetic translation group is determined, and the single‐electron energy levels of the system are labelled by three‐dimensional irreps of this group. We perform also the Clebsch–Gordan decomposition, and interpret selected irreps as the relevant superconducting pairs. (© 2007 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim)
