Within the framework of the spin‐wave theory and retarded Green's functions method, the magnetic properties of four‐sublattice ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic double layers at zero temperature have been investigated. Both ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic interlayer couplings are considered. The spin‐wave spectra, sublattice magnetizations and internal energy of the system in the ground state are studied. The numerical results are calculated for different sets of intra‐ and interlayer coupling interactions. All the exchange couplings are involved in the quantum competition of the system, but the effects of antiferromagnetic exchange couplings play an important role in the balance of the quantum competition.
