The in‐plane magnetic anisotropy of an epitaxial manganite La 0.7 Sr 0.3 MnO 3 film on SrTiO 3 was measured. A rotation of the easy axis direction from [110] below 330 K to [100] above was observed. The first order magnetocrystalline anisotropy constant was determined and shows a zero crossing at 330 K. The coercive field has a plateau‐structure in this temperature range.
