The basic integral equations for the consistent t‐matrix approximation (CTMA) of the infinite U Anderson model are formally solved within the slow variable approximation. The solution is compared with a numerical C++ analysis using self adapting nets. Very good agreement is found. (© 2005 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim)
