Magnetic properties of hydrogen‐amorphized LaCo 2 with a relatively high hydrogen concentration, LaCo 2 H 3.8 , were investigated by magnetization and NMR measurements. The hydride behaves as a ferromagnet with T C = 400–500 K and averaged moment ∼0.5 μ B /Co (at 1.5 K). The Co moment amplitude was found to distribute considerably from 0 to ∼1 μ B .
