Anomalously large variations in the electrical properties of [N(CH 3 ) 4 ] 2 CuBr 4 crystals are manifested by the disappearance of the spontaneous polarization (ferroelectricity) under the action of small uniaxial mechanical stresses. The observed effect is reversible and non‐linear. (© 2003 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim)
