The molecular field theory based on two‐sublattice model was employed to analyse the temperature dependence of the magnetization of Gd 2 Co 2 Al and Gd 2 Co 2 Ga compounds. The molecular field coefficients n CoCo , n GdCo and n GdGd were obtained by a numerical fitting process. The theoretically calculated Curie temperatures were found to agree well with the experimental results. The exchange fields H Co ( T ) and H Gd ( T ) were presented.
