The heat capacity of AuTe 2 I was measured in the temperature range of 0.7 K < T < 100 K. The resulting low temperature limiting Debye temperature and electronic contribution were determined to be θ 0 = (140 ± 1.5) K and γ = (1.54 ± 0.04) mJ/mol K 2 , respectively, the latter in reasonable agreement with earlier results from Hall effect and Shubnikov de Haas experiments.
