The elastic anisotropy of equiatomic β′‐CuZn has been determined by an electron microscope study of regions of directional instability of glide dislocations. Contrary to the previous measurements of McManus, it is concluded that the elastic anisotropy of β′‐CuZn is not significantly different from that of β′‐Cu‐48 at% Zn.
