It is shown that the photocurrent in CdS single crystals can be used for detecting the existence of wavefields in crystals as well as a method for proving the X‐ray‐intensity distribution in the regions of the individual atoms. The investigation was carried out by means of a double‐crystal spectrometer in (2, −2) position under the application of MoKα and CuKα radiation. Agreement between theoretical calculation and experimental results has been found.
