The parameter β characterizing the interaction between the conduction electrons and the lattice is calculated for a thin film of non‐degenerate semiconductors using the electrontemperature approximation taking into account the scattering by the deformation and the piezoelectric potential. It is shown that the energy scattering of the conduction electrons on the piezoelectric potential in thin films of n‐InSb is important in the temperature region below 10 °K.
