In this work the theory of surface and volume magnon states in a semi‐infinite ferromagnetic with simple cubic lattice is formulated in the second quantization representation. The volume and surface phonon states as well as the Hamiltonians of the magnon interactions with the volume and surface phonons are also formulated. The probabilities for surface annihilation of volume magnons due to magnon‐phonon interaction are investigated. It is shown that this process is more probable in the case that surface phonons participate in the process.
