Investigation of the Energy Band Structure of GaSb by a Semi‐Empirical Kohn‐Rostoker Method

The energy band structure of GaSb is investigated by the Kohn‐Rostoker (KR) method. A “muffin‐tin” potential is described and two parameters are introduced for fitting some splittings at points of symmetry of the Brillouin zone with experimental data. Other characteristic splittings are compared with experimental results. The results are also compared with those obtained by other methods.
