By neutron diffraction it was found that the magnetic structure of UAs at 78°K is of the first kind (A−1) with a saturation moment of (1.93 ± 0.05) Bohr magnetons. Between 78 and 4°K there exists a point of a magnetic phase transition. At 4°K the magnetic unit cell is doubled in one direction with the moments aligned along the tetragonal unique axis. The sequence of ferromagnetic sheets which are perpendicular to the tetragonal axis, is in the order + − − +. The magnetic moment at 4°K is (2.20 ± 0.05) BM. The magnetic structure of USb both at 4 and 78°K is of the first kind. The values of the saturation magnetic moments at 4 and 78°K are (2.16 ± 0.05) and (2.08 ± 0.05) BM, respectively.
