The change in the electrical resistivity of platinum quenched in air and in water is measured. The transient phenomenon at the very beginning of the isothermal annealing at a temperature of about 250 ° C is observed. The possible interactions of point defects in quenched platinum are analysed. Various interactions are quantitatively compared with the measured data and the probable interpretation of the results is discussed.
