The wave‐number dependent dynamic susceptibility of a uniformly polarized free electron gas is calculated. Due to the polarization the spin density oscillations around a sharply localized magnetic impurity are modified both in phase and amplitude. The oscillations in the totally magnetized state are enhanced by about 20 percent, but in intermediate states they are smaller than in the unmagnetized system.
