Crystals of high‐temperature niobium pentoxide (HNb 2 O 5 ) and some mixed niobium‐tungsten oxide phases were examined by transmission electron diffraction and microscopy. The diffraction patterns and images of lattice fringes are fully consistent with the previously reported structures determined by X‐rays from the same samples. Irregularities in the lattice fringes, caused by faulting, were very rare in HNb 2 O 5 , but common in the mixed oxide phases.
