Transmission electron microscope studies of ordered Fe‐Si alloys show that a fringe contrast associated with antiphase boundaries appears in fundamental reflections. This effect is explained as being due to a deformation of the lattice by the boundary. The usual method employed in contrast experiments is used to find the direction of the additional displacement vector at the boundaries.
