A study is made of the change in the optical frequency of dielectric crystals due to an external electric field. The properties of the ferroelectric resonance in the presence of this field are also examined. It is shown that a new resonance of the spin and transverse acoustic waves can take place. The corrections to the frequencies of the coupled waves are found, and the parametric excitation of coupled waves is considered.
