The thermal conductivity of GaSb crystals, doped with Zn and Te, is measured in the temperature range 80 to 600 °K. It is shown that the lattice thermal conductivity of GaSb crystals depends on the type and concentration of the impurity present. In the doped samples a discontinuity in the thermal resistivity occurs in the Debye temperature range. Above and below this range the thermal resistivity depends linearly on temperature with different angle factors. It is considered that this change is a consequence of the role of the optical phonons in the thermal conductivity and the scattering which occurs between the optical and acoustic phonons.
