The nonlinear Boltzmann equation is discussed for nonspherical and nonparabolic energy bands assuming strong dc and weak ac electric fields. The current density is calculated in the limit of a quadratic deviation from Ohm's law. Freecarrier magneto‐optical phenomena in the presence of a strong dc electric field are discussed.
