The photoemission, photoconduction and dark electrical conduction of Cs‐Sb films having various compositions are measured. CsSb films containing excess Cs show an appreciable peak near h v = 1.5 eV in the spectral response of the photoemission. The thermal equilibrium between Cs vapour and various imperfections is discussed. The photoemissive yield decreases as the concentration of Cs vacancies decreases.
