The activation energy Q can be determined for processes of type d x /d t = F ( x ) exp (– Q/RT ) from linear heating data or from the point sequence of step annealing (time and temperature intervals are constant). Q may be evaluated at each point x if two samples are available. With only one sample Q can be found at some isolated points by applying cycling temperature procedures.
