A dispersion law for the energy spectrum of thin films of hexagonal cobalt is obtained on the basis of the Heisenberg Hamiltonian and the Holstein‐Primakoff approximation. The general formulation is discussed for an arbitrary system of ferromagnetic thin films. The calculations include an effective anisotropy field.
