Correlation corrections for diffusion coefficients which are measured using the technique of motional narrowing of nuclear magnetic resonance lines are considered. The results are applied to vacancy diffusion in alkali halide crystals, and previous work is clarified and extended to the consideration of associated vacancies. Relative values of diffusivity and activation energy are determined in the associated vacancy extrinsic region for NMR, radioactive tracer, and ionic conductivity methods of determination, and the relevant correlation corrections are derived.
