The phonon dispersion curves are calculated for lattice waves along the three symmetry directions [100], [110], and [111] in α‐iron. The calculation use the three‐force‐constant model for cubic metals propounded by Sharma. The calculated dispersion curves are compared with the experimental curves of Low obtained by neutron spectrometry and reasonably good agreement found.
