The deformation of low angle tilt boundaries in isotropic materials is studied using the elastical theory of dislocations. The dislocations of the boundary are pinned in certain regions and free in others, and under stress they become curved. The calculations are carried out for several arrangements of pinning points. It is found that the average displacements may be considerably less than the displacements of isolated dislocations with the same spacing of pinning points.
