Using the general theory given in the first part of this work, vacancy‐phonon scattering is studied and, for an isotropic medium, the results shown to be identical with the classical values. The emphasis is put on the scattering by a vacancy pair, and the theory is used to evaluate the thermal resistivity of both vacancies and vacancy pairs.
