Evidence is presented for the presence of antiphase boundaries in tealite (PbSnS 2 ). It is shown that the observed contrast effects are consistent with only one model of an antiphase boundary. On intersecting antiphase boundaries the dislocation ribbons change in width as a result of the difference in stacking fault energy. Such a behaviour is consistent with the model deduced from the contrast effects.
