Modifications are observed in the shape of the hysteresis loop of triglycine sulfate [(NH 2 CH 2 COOH) 3 · H 2 SO 4 ] single crystals due to X‐ray irradiation. For radiation doses up to 13 Mr, and a. c. fields amplitude up to 35.2 kVcm −1 , the characteristic double loop is always observed. Non‐uniform irradiation of the specimen is found to produce a distortion of the hysteresis loop which depends on the degree of non‐uniformity.
