A revised calculation according to WILSON 's results in a slightly modified formula for the probability of a type II antiphase‐boundary (Au atoms may be in contact), and it is concluded that the relative importance of this type of boundary is smaller than has been assumed. Using the broadening of the supperlattice reflections, the probabilities for the two types of boundaries were measured during isothermal ordering at various temperatures. In accordance with electrical conductivity measurements, this study indicates that two different processes of ordering can occur, the second of which corresponds to the movement of domain boundaries. The activation energy for this movement, for both types of boundaries. agrees with the value derived from resistivity measurements.
