Insulator–Insulator Transition In article number 2000820 , Bertina Fisher and co‐workers show that the I‐V characteristics of Al x V 1‐x O 2 single crystals reproduce upon increasing currents the thermally‐induced, consecutive insulator–insulator and insulator–metal transitions and, upon decreasing currents, the opposite transitions. The images snipped from videos recorded concurrently with I‐V tracing show upon decreasing currents the contraction of the different embedded phases just before extinction.
