The back cover picture represents etch‐pits on diamond surface induced by H 2 /O 2 plasma treatment, as described in the article by Jocelyn Achard et al. ( p. 1949 ). These etch‐pits have been observed by laser microscopy (bottom left picture) and their cross section has been also characterized by TEM in order to clearly show the crystallographic orientation of the corresponding faces (bottom right picture). As evident from the TEM picture, the etch‐pits are induced on the top of screw dislocations.
