The cover picture refers to this issue's Editor's Choice article by Katarína Gmucová et al. (pp. 1404–1409). This paper reports on the dynamics of formation of hydrogen‐ and hydroxyl‐related pentacene defects in various (acidic to basic) aqueous environments. The electrochemical characteristics of platinum electrodes covered by pentacene film (∼10 nm) prepared either by the Langmuir–Blodgett technique or by the standard thermal evaporation in high vacuum are compared. These results have profound implications in the way we use such organic devices in humid conditions. It is found that thermally evaporated films better answer to the need for defect‐poor devices for organic electronics, while Langmuir–Blodgett films show great promises as electrode coverage material to be used in hydrogen‐storage applications (© 2009 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co.
