The cover picture shows a simulated sample of a nano‐diamond core surrounded by a region of amorphous carbon taken from the Editor's Choice article by Michaelson et al. (p. 2099). The sample was obtained from a molecular dynamics simulation of an initially pure diamond sample with 512 atoms in a (100) cubic cell with periodic boundary conditions. Some 150 atoms in the core of the samples were pinned in the diamond structure during a melt‐quench process. This simulation models nucleation of nano‐diamond grains embedded in an amorphous carbon matrix as observed in deposition of nano‐diamond films from energetic species.
