A new laser crystal Pb 3 Ga 2 Ge 4 O 14 :Nd 3+ with disordered trigonal structure was developed. Its room‐temperature stimu‐ lated emission at ≈1.075 µm wavelength ( 4 F 3/2 → 4 I 11/2 lasing channel) with laser‐diode pumping was excited. (© 2005 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim)
