After outlining methods of analysing non‐linear dynamic systems are applied to simpler mathematical models of geophysical hydrodynamics. The dynamic stochastic approach is developed to the study of thermohydrodynamic fields of large scales, in which the stranger attractor of the real general atmospheric circulation is the mathematical image of stochasticity.
