We review on the main geometric properties of the space‐time of constant curvature which is the foundation of the inflationary cosmological model. We show e.g.: The spatially flat Friedmann model with exponentially increasing scale factor is only a local description for the de Sitter space‐time, whereas the closed Friedmann model can lead to a global description.
