We review the construction of supersymmetric sigma models on Kähler coset spaces and on coset spaces with broken central charges. The implementation of scale invariance is discussed. We investigate the quantum effective action of the scale invariant O ( N + 2)/ O ( N ) model with respect to its vacuum structure and particle content to leading order in 1/ N . Different vacua corresponding to symmetry restauration and the broken phase, respectively, are degenerate in energy. The effective aotion in the symmetric phase coincides with the one of a linear model.
